To create WinPE media, you need to have installed:

  • Acronis True Image 2015 Media add-on
  • Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK).

Downloading and installing the Media add-on
  1. Log in to your account;
  2. Click My Products & Downloads;
  3. Expand Acronis True Image 2015 and click Free Plugins -> Media add-on:
  4. Download and install the add-on.
Installing Windows AIK
  1. Download Windows Automated Installation Kit:
    • AIK for Windows 7 (PE 3.0)

      (!) Windows Vista AIK is not supported. Use Windows 7 AIK instead.

  2. Burn the Windows 7 AIK ISO image to a DVD disc or launch the installation file for Windows 8/8.1 ADK;
  3. When installing from Windows 7 AIK ISO image, you may be prompted to install additional packages: .NET Framework 2.0 and MSXML Parser from the kit;
  4. Install Windows AIK from the kit:
