This post was mostly to inform everyone about these adapters and their features, but I also wanted to ask if the Mayflash adapter was really worth buying over the Raphnet one. The internet seems to think so, but I was hoping that I could save some money by buying the N64/Gamecube to USB adapter - V3.

What do these adapters do?

The Roll Limitless Adapter acts as a replacement for the Drum portion of the PS3 MadCatz Midi Pro Adapter. It allows you to use an ekit to play Pro Drums in Rock Bands 1-4 on PS3 and PS4.

The Xbox upgrade kit connects to the Roll Limitless and allows it to be used on Xbox. The Xbox Upgrade Kit requires an Xbox 360 Rock Band 2 stock drum kit. It connects to the stock kit, making the game think you are using the stock kit. A MadCatz Wireless Legacy Adapter is needed to use on Xbox One.

The guitar adapter allows you to use 360 and Wii guitars on PS3 and PS4. It also fixes PS3 Guitar Hero 5 overdrive problems. It works with every PS3/PS4 Rock Band game and every PS3 Guitar Hero game except Guitar Hero 3

What do I need besides the adapters?

The Roll Limitless adapter requires a MIDI cable and a Dualshock 4 to use. For drum kits that only support usbmidi, a USB-B cable and a USB hub are also required.

The Xbox upgrade kit requires a 360 Rock Band 2 Stock Kit and a MadCatz Wireless Legacy Adapter for Xbox One. A screw driver and scissors are also required to take apart the stock kit. An Xbox One Controller is also recommended.

The guitar adapter just requires a guitar to use

Why do I need a Rock Band 2 drum kit to use the Xbox Upgrade kit?

Microsoft only allows approved controllers to be used on Xbox. Since the Rock Band 2 drum kit is an approved controller, I use it as a way to connect to the Xbox.

Some PS4s require a USB hub to between the adapter and the PS4. PS3s do not require the USB hub.

My Adapter is showing up in game, but I don't know how to hit start

You must plug in a Dualshock 4 into the usb port to use the start button.

My Adapter isn't showing up in game

Try unplugging and replugging in the adapter. If this doesn't work, a USB hub may have to be placed between the adapter and the console. The USB hub needs to be connected to the PS4 first and then the adapter to the USB hub in order for it to appear.

My Adapter is showing up in game, but none of the buttons respond

Make sure the drum brain is off when you plug the adapter into the game console. Also make sure the Dualshock 4 is already plugged in to the adapter when you plug the adapter into the game console. The Dualshock 4 will light up if connected.

If using the Dualshock 4 through a USB hub, the Dualshock 4 can run out of battery. This can be solved by either using a powered usb hub between the adapter and the Dualshock 4, or charging the Dualshock between uses.

My adapter is dropping a lot of notes

Some ekits send out a tempo signal multiple times a beat. If these signals are fast enough, they can overload the adapter. To fix this, find the tempo setting on your ekit and turn it down.

You can plug in a usb hub into the adapter and plug in the USBMIDI and Dualshock 4 to the usb hub

How do I change sensitivity

On the Dualshock 4, Hold L1 and tap up or down on the d-pad to change threshold up or down. (Higher threshold means lower sensitivity and vice versa)

What does the light on the Dualshock 4 mean

A red light means threshold is currently low. A blue light means high threshold is currently high.

2) On Windows, go to 'Bluetooth & other devices'

3) Click on 'Add Bluetooth or other device'

4) Choose 'Bluetooth'

5) Choose 'Rock Band Adapter'

6) Type '0000' for the pin

My guitar isn't connecting

Certain guitars use more power than others. For example, Rock Band dongles are also USB hubs and can draw too much power. Plugging in a powered usb hub between the adapter and the guitar can solve this problem.
